2026 SFV SUMMER CAMP

The theme this year is DINOSAURS. 

Your Summer Camp Team is preparing something  prehistoric, exciting, colossal, mighty and FUN.

Learn about meteor showers, difference between asteroid, meteors, meteorite.

A brief talk about planets, and where the asteroid belt can be found.

It will be full of exploding activities, and crashing projects.

Earthquake

We'll incorporate earthquake safety, teach DROP, COVER, HOLD.

We'll be building things that we will test on an earthquake table and a Dinosaur terrarium.

More crashing, breaking and crashing again.

Volcanoes

We'll learn about volcanoes and make it errupt.

Learn about soil layers, earth layers and have a fun edible snack.

We'll dig for some fossils, crack some eggs, some geodes, and make a lava lamp.

Tsunami

Learn about the effects, importance and conservation of water.

We'll make some kind of sensory bottles, the ocean in a bottle, and ground fishing.

We'll make some boats and see how they float - we'll even try to make a tide pool.

Learn about hypothermia. First aid. How to keep warm.

We'll make SNOW.

We'll rescue frozen dinosaurs, make a snowglobe, and possibly an igloo.

We have a fun woodworking project the kids will get to play with.

Wherein dinosaurs will need to "attack" each other to prevent the other "team" from crossing over to the other side.

Volunteers Make a Difference

Summer Camp Volunteers

Summer Camp will not be a success with you. There are a lot of volunteer positions that you can do - from Den Walkers, Den Leaders, Station Instructors, First Aid, Cub Grub Station, Skills Director, and so much more. 

How to Volunteer

Copies of certificates of the following trainings that has been completed must be submitted on or before the first day of camp:

  • Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT)
  • First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
  • Hazardous Weather Training
  • Safety Afloat
  • Safe Swim Defense
  • Peer on Peer Abuse


If you have any of the following, kindly submit copies of the certificates as well

  • Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (Baloo/IOLs Training)
  • Wilderness First Aid Training
  • National Camping School
  • Lifeguard Certification
  • Aquatics Director Certification
  • Range Master Certification


All Lion and Tigers Scouts must be accompanied by a parent and/or legal guardian and must also provide proof of current Safeguarding Youth Training.

Volunteers will get breakfast and lunch - everyday - on us!!!

We get bagels from Western Bagel.

We get Lunch from Chick-fil-a one day, Pizza and Salad another day. 

We also get Sushi on another day, and Hawaiian BBQ on Friday.
